A SHARED SETUP REFERENCE
ACROSS SIZE CHANGES
Packaging and paper lines run a wide variety of sizes, and every changeover means resetting the position of guides and process elements. ServoMotion reads those positions from the recipe: when the size changes, the operator selects the recipe and the laser reference lines rebuild within the same reference frame.

ON THE LINE
DO THESE
SOUND FAMILIAR?
The same size is set slightly differently by different operators; these setup variations increase material waste.
Every changeover starts from scratch because there is no shared position reference across sizes.
Tape measures and templates are slow on wide lines and difficult to repeat.
The first metres after each changeover are written off as standard practice.
WHAT WE MEASURE ON SITE
PARAMETERS THAT
DEFINE THE SYSTEM
The parameters below drive the design decisions in this segment. We measure these values on your line and base the quotation on that data.
| Size range | The difference between the narrowest and widest size determines travel range and rail assembly length. |
|---|---|
| Number of simultaneous reference lines | The number of guide or process positions that must be visible at once determines the architecture. |
| Changeover frequency | The number of changeovers per day forms the basis of the payback calculation. |
| Working distance | The vertical distance between the laser and the surface determines line width and angular tolerance. |
| Surface and ambient light | Paper colour and overhead lighting affect line legibility. |
| Automation interface | Whether recipe data can be read from the line controller defines the integration scope. |

MOST APPLICATIONS
SHUTTLE PRECISOR
When many positions must be visible at once, a single servo axis carries the laser carriages to their recipe positions in sequence. Changing size then means selecting a recipe rather than re-measuring the line.

CORE PRECISOR
If only a few positions need to be visible at the same time, an enclosed industrial profile may be sufficient at a lower investment.

SHUTTLE PRECISOR · 16 LASERS · 1,800 MM TRAVEL
Sixteen laser carriages move to the positions defined in the recipe. When the size changes, the operator simply selects the recipe and the positions are rebuilt within the same reference frame. These figures come from one example installation; the dimensions for your line are determined during the site survey.
